A perspective...

There are those times when you draw something really fast, not really knowing what your going for and it ends up pretty good. This was one of those times.

Happy Birthday Mom...
It is a tradition in our family that you do NOT buy a card, but that you MAKE it instead. This goes for any occasion, not just Birthdays. Some how my parents got out of this, and come to think of it, I now understand why I never receive cards from them... Just the presents. hmmmm
Anyway.... Happy Birthday Mom...

mini-portfolio...
I needed to create a small, and brief portfolio for an internship possibility. I printed small cards with my work and projects, but could not think of what to put them in. After a visit to the Salvation Army, I came up with the idea of using an old book and some cork. It turned out pretty good.

amidst the chaos...

Working along with the 1st year drawing class, and with a little help from Suzanne, (her square is the grid like one towards the bottom left) I did a quick creative drawing inspired by a stick and my cell phone.
This is one of my favorite ways to draw. You really cant mess it up.

Steak and Eggs...
Click for larger image
I havent posted any of my food in a while, so I am sharing my most recent. I've never had 'Steak and Eggs' before, and after seeing it the other day, I had to give it a try. It turned out great. I did an italian style version, using herbs de provence, rosemary and a little s&p. It was very good.
