Lake house is now about dried in.  My design is finally taking shape.  Front porch should go on soon.

the lake cottage is moving along great.  windows were put in today, along with the walls.  Im very anxious to see it all come together.

Had a fun night outside with friends,  asian kabobs, and  stir-fry.  a couple cold beers and some insect repellent and you got a good time.

Sunday Fry...

every sunday i cook a big fried chicken meal.  after soaking in hotsauce and butter milk, i batter it up and sink it in  350 degree oil until golden and crispy.  some extra hot sauce ranch and green beans and you got a good sunday fry.

heres something to look at.  sketching has fallen behind.  working on getting back to it.  i have been here and there lately,  mainly without internet.  images are from Pawleys Island SC. and Cloud Land Canyon in Tennessee.

So i got this great sketch book and was planning on sketching the whole time while in Europe. Well, that didnt happen and all i did were these two lousy ones. Its hard to draw when you are constantly walking around a city, eating great food, and hanging out with friends. Maybe next time.

the art in everything...

inspired by a great blog i look at all the time. ( simplyphoto) i find art in everything. this was what i made for dinner. the colors and textures to me make it a composition.



if not for art i would have gone to culinary school.

a painting i did for a friend. she loves mountains.

the horizon line is actually straight. my camera lens warps it a bit.

i drew my lunch again. what may look like a cheeseburger is actually a ham&cheese on an english muffin. chips and salsa as a side.



im finding that you can sketch all the time, but adding color really brings them to life.

im starting to hate all my colorless sketches.

on a side note...tortilla chips are very hard to draw. they look like banana chips.

Breakfast...

i rarely eat breakfast. due to the fact that i would rather sleep than eat. yet this morning i made an awesome chocolate, banana , peanut butter english muffin thing. figured it was worth the sketch.
